Matthew McConaughey vacations in Baytown: Keeps his shirt on (for once), casually chills with fans

On a break from promoting his most recent raunchy blockbuster, Magic Mike, Matthew McConaughey spent last Tuesday engaging in a much more conservative endeavor: The simple act of fishing.

The Baytown Sun first reported that the Texas actor spent Independence Day eve with a handful of friends, loading up on redfish and speckled trout on Baytown's waters.

After a long day with local guides Blaine Friermood, Mickey Eastman and Eddie Tucker, the crew stopped by Thompson Fishing Camp, where McConaughey graciously agreed to take some fan photos with the proprietress Debbie Thompson and her dog Cesar.

There was nothing of the leather pants and risqué thongs that has drawn ladies, young and old, to see him on the big screen. Sporting a Round Rock Express T-shirt and khaki shorts, with tinted specs and a backwards Just Keep Livin baseball cap, McConaughey appeared just plain plebeian.

What would you do if you came across McConaughey in the bay?
