4. 26-year old Houston chef transforms Benjy Levit's Mexican restaurant. Benjy Levit’s Local Foods Group isn’t afraid to switch things up. Building on their recent successes of transforming French restaurant Eau Tour into smash hit Italian restaurant Milton’s, the company has made some major changes to Maximo, its Mexican restaurant in the heart of West University Place.

5. Goode Co.'s mesquite-fired Tex-Mex restaurant coming to River Oaks in March. Levi Goode is ready to share more details about his plans to bring Goode Co. Kitchen & Cantina to the River Oaks Shopping Center. Goode has claimed the former La Griglia space for Kitchen & Cantina’s fourth location; it will also be home to a speakeasy-style bar called Bar Buena. Both should open in March.
