Houston's Best Street Photography Contest
To highlight the Houston Cinema Arts Festival's 'Cinema on the Verge' exhibition, organizers asked Houstonians to participate in a street photography contest on Instagram by tagging photos with #hcafstreet. More than 1,500 images of street scenes, residents and skylines were submitted to the contest, which ended Friday at midnight.
Now that the submissions are in, CultureMap is giving you the opportunity to decide the People's Choice favorite. The more than 1,500 entries have been wilted down to nine hand-picked photographs and now you get to vote to determine the ultimate winner.
The winner of the contest will receive two weekend passes to the festival and an invitation to the gallery launch on Nov. 12, and the runner-up will receive two one-day screening passes for Nov. 15. Not only that, but the winning People's Choice photos will be displayed at The Brandon for the duration of HCAF's exhibition.
So cast a vote for your personal favorite — you can vote once daily — and be sure to check back on Monday to find out the People's Choice winner!
