From outrageous hair waves to radiant skin and a megawatt smile, here are some easy ways to update your beauty routine.

DOMINIQUE SACHSE
KPRC Local 2 News Anchor/Reporter

Throughout her over 20-year career in TV news, Sachse has learned many tricks to being camera-ready, even launching her own YouTube channel showcasing her beauty secrets. We asked Sachse to share a few of her favorites.

Beauty Fix: Cover dark under-eye circles
Secret Weapon: Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer
Tip: "The stuff hides a bad night’s sleep and doesn’t sink into the smile lines on top of it. It’s a miracle in a tube."

Beauty Fix: Prevent dry lips
Secret Weapon: Lansinoh HPA Lanolin
Tip: "Breastfeeding mothers use it to help heal cracked skin. I figured if it worked well there, then it would have to make a great lip balm, and it does. Now I buy it just for that, obviously."

LILY JANG
KHOU 11 News This Morning Anchor

The always-polished Jang credits the tips below for helping her look her best at 4:30 a.m., when her day starts on the early morning news.

Beauty Fix: Stay looking fresh
Secret Weapon: DL Row's Sheer Glo Lotion (available at The Upper Hand)
Tip: "I use it for a dewy complexion that makes me look wide awake. I never go on TV without it under my powder foundation."

Beauty Fix: Open up your eyes and accentuate your makeup
Secret Weapon: False strip lashes
Tip: "Apply and add mascara on top. And here's my secret: I only use medium length so they're not too Clockwork Orange."

KATIE MCCALL
KRIV FOX 26 New Reporter/Anchor

The Channel 26 journalist gives us a couple of her best-loved tactics for taking good care of your skin; A must, she says, in a world of high-definition TV.

Beauty Fix: Rejuvenate skin
Secret Weapon: Estée Lauder Foaming Face Wash and baking soda.
Tip: “One of my favorite skincare tricks is to mix baking soda with Estée Lauder foaming face wash for dry skin. The baking soda exfoliates, leaving my skin baby smooth.”

Beauty Fix: Skin protection and self-tanning
Secret Weapon: Aveeno Natural Protection Lotion Sunscreen with Broad Spectrum SPF 50, Tantowel and Neutrogena Sunless Tan.
Tip: “I don't leave home without SPF on my face. Aveeno has a really nice SPF 50, which is moisturizing so it doesn't feel like sunscreen. The sun is not anyone's friend. That's why I also swear by self-tanners, like Tantowel or Neutrogena’s spray, which look natural. A little color does wonders for us all.”

DEBORAH DUNCAN
Great Day Houston  Host

Ensuring that all the makeup worn for TV doesn’t wreak havoc on her skin, the Channel 11 morning show host indulges in a hydrating spa treatment and a drug store facial scrub for a healthy glow.

Beauty Fix: Cleanse, hydrate, exfoliate and revitalize skin
Secret Weapon: Hydrafacial at Institute of Anti Aging
Tip: "With all the makeup I slather on for TV, I love this because it literally sucks out all the impurities, and infuses moisture and salicylic acid to control acne. And it feels good."

Beauty Fix: A stellar daily facial cleanser
Secret Weapon: Johnson & Johnson Clean and Clear
Tip: "It’s cheap, but it works."

REKHA MUDDARAJ
KHOU 11 Weekend News Anchor

It's time to get over your fear of fake eyelashes, and Muddaraj gives us the scoop on how to properly apply them. Note: If you’re not into a dramatic look, but still want a little oomph, Muddaraj suggests picking up lashes marked “natural."

Beauty Fix: Instant bright eye
Secret Weapon: False eyelashes.
Tip: "If you wear eyeliner on your top lid, use dark eyelash glue – it’s less noticeable when in dries. Also, trimming the length of the lash strip and centering it on your lashes will give you a more wide-eyed, natural look.”

To Apply:

1) Put a thin strip of glue on the falsies, wait about 30 seconds for the glue to get tacky.
2) With your eyelid half open, get really close to the mirror and place the strip as close to your lashes as possible.
3) Make sure the corners stick... and voila.

REBECCA SPERA
KTRK Channel 13 Special Projects Reporter

Change up your do with bouncy hair waves, sans the heat damage. Spera’s guide for no-heat beach wave curls is below. The simple steps are easy to follow, and you don’t have to spend a fortune to get the look.

Beauty Fix: Hair waves without the heat.
Secret Weapon: DL Row Amplify Hair Gel (available at The Upper Hand) and an elastic headband.
Tip: "This is super-easy, and works best on shoulder-length hair or longer."

1) Brush out clean, damp hair and part it where you desire.
2) Add the elastic headband to head over the hair. The headband should start right at the hairline on your forehead, and it should go down over the hair near the nape of the neck.
3) Starting from the front, grab a one-inch piece of hair and twist it around the headband. Continue grabbing and twisting small amounts of hair all the way to the back until it's all wrapped. It looks crazy, but I promise, it will look cool when you're done.
4) Sleep on it.
5) When you wake up, unravel the hair, brush it out if you choose, and you will have waves without ever having to fry those strands.

MAGGIE FLECKNOE
CW 39 EyeOpener Morning Anchor

There are a couple of must-haves in Flecknoe's makeup bag, including the items below, sure to keep you looking refreshed even when you're lacking for sleep.

Beauty Fix: Tired eyes
Secret Weapon: Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream and Tarte Inner Rim Liner
Tip: “Since I get up at 2 a.m. for my morning show, under eye cream is a must. Then, I fake getting eight hours of sleep with (the application of) Tarte’s liner.”

Beauty Fix: Emphasize eyes and freshen up your look.
Secret Weapon: L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara and Caudalie Beauty Elixir
Tip: “One thing I don’t leave the house without is mascara. I like the inexpensive, L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara. I use the money saved to buy Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir. It takes you to your happy place and refreshes you throughout the day. I'm obsessed.”

CAITILIN ESPINOSA
Fox 26 Meteorologist

Espinosa's advice for looking and feeling great is simply to smile. "It lifts your spirit as well as those around you," she states. She combines lipstick colors for a standout grin.

Beauty Fix: A great smile
Secret Weapon: Lipstick: L'Oreal Colour Riche; Lipstick: Kardashian Joystick Lip Lacquer; Lip Liner: Revlon ColorStay; Lip Balm Stain: Revlon Color Stay
Tip: “While I go for a polished look overall, one of my favorite looks is a bold lip. I mix the lipsticks to get the best color for my skin tone. I blot, check my teeth, add a touch of lip gloss or lip balm, and I'm ready to go."
