With the holiday season upon us, Houston billionaire philanthropists John and Laura Arnold are reaching out to donors great and small to explore the couple's Giving Library — an innovate website connecting hundreds of charitable organizations with potential financial supporters.

"A lot of people are thinking about end of year giving right now," Giving Library manager Kerry Vaughan tells CultureMap. "And we're here to help them figure out which nonprofits they might be interested in supporting."

This December marks the site's inaugural Share to Give campaign in which supporters circulate official Giving Library info videos about nonprofits involved in everything from education and the environment to medical research and global humanitarian aid.

The Arnolds have set aside up to $100,000 for the social media effort, offering a $5 donation to each charitable group every time their video is posted to Facebook or Twitter. Vaughan stresses that participants themselves are not required to donate . . . just  to share.

Visit the Giving Library website for details on the campaign. Supporters can share up to five different charities through Dec. 31.
