Houston's LIV Golf tournament adds concert by hip-hop star Macklemore
Macklemore will be coming to Houston — and, to quote a line from one of his biggest hits, this is f***ing awesome!
LIV Golf today announced that Grammy-winning hip-hop artist Macklemore, who rose to prominence with such hits as “Thrift Shop” and “Same Love,” will perform live at an upcoming event this June, as excitement builds for the League’s debut tournaments in Houston and Nashville. On Saturday, June 8, Macklemore will be at the Golf Club of Houston with a live concert to conclude day two of LIV Golf Houston. (Country music duo Dan + Shay will do a live concert for LIV Golf Nashville later that month.)
“LIV Golf events bring the biggest names in golf with iconic artists and first-class experiences that deliver fun for all ages,” said LIV Golf SVP of Ticketing and HospitalityTroy Tutt. “We can’t wait for the League’s upcoming visits to Houston and Nashville where Macklemore and Dan + Shay’s performances will set the stage for two unforgettable weekends filled with top-tier golf competition and entertainment that showcase our supercharged tournament experiences.”
All event grounds passes and hospitality tickets include the concert. Fans can also add an enhanced concert experience with a VIP ticket featuring up-close access to the stage, two drinks, and dedicated restrooms.
LIV Golf also offers a number of packages for fans seeking a full weekend of VIP treatment. These top tickets include:

Founded in 2022, LIV Golf is a series of tournaments backed by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund. By offering bigger payouts and other amenities, it lured a number of prominent players away from the PGA Tour, including Jon Rahm, Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson, and Sergio Garcia. With a motto of “golf, but louder,” its tournaments have a higher energy atmosphere than the PGA Tour.
