Thieves target Heights foodie haven, breaking in again and again — but they haven't stolen the cheese
Revival Market found itself with yet another shattered glass door Monday morning as a late night thieves continues to strike The Heights foodie hub. The glass door of the shop's been kicked open six separate times.
To date, the crooks have shied away from Revival's celebrated selection of locally-sourced meats and artisanal cheeses, opting instead for the market's iPads and laptop computers.
Little is known about the culprits aside from the fact that they appear to have more of a taste for consumer electronics than heirloom vegetables, according to KHOU Ch. 11.
“It’s annoying," Revival co-owner Morgan Weber told KHOU, shaking his head. "It's getting out of bed at 3 o'clock in the morning and calling that overnight glass guy to come and do his thing."
As they have in the past, store management posted an image of the broken door on Twitter, garnering supportive words from its loyal customer base.
“They obviously don’t have any idea of what Revival has brought to this area of town,” regular Rick Schreiber told reporters about the thieves.
"We really just want to put it in the past and move forward," general manager Carlos Meltzer explained to CultureMap in an email, adding that additional precautions will be made to secure the shop.
No arrests have been made.
