Why Julianne Moore will make a better Sarah Palin than Tina Fey
Academy Award-nominated Julianne Moore is set to portray Sarah Palin in an HBO film, Game Change, about the 2008 presidential elections. Palin has put out a no comment on the film's casting, according to E! Online.
Moore will be performing a script penned by Danny Strong, who also wrote the HBO drama Recount, which traced the period following the 2000 presidential election. Strong derived his script from the Mark Halperin and John Heilemann 2010 book about the 2008 elections.
While openly politically liberal, Moore remains better suited for the role than Palin look-a-like Tina Fey. The redhead has met critical acclaim for such diverse roles as a drug-addcited porn star in Boogie Nights, a betrayed 1950s housewife in Far From Heaven and, most recently, a conflicted lesbian mother in The Kids Are All Right.
The HBO film follows the 2008 saga from John McCain's selection of the former Alaskan governor as his running mate to their ultimate defeat. Still yet to be cast are the roles of McCain, Hilary Clinton and President Barack Obama.
Who do you think should take on these three remaining roles?
