What: Nordstrom at The Woodlands Mall Grand Opening Gala Benefiting Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands.

Where: Nordstrom in The Woodlands

The 411: Nordstrom began supporting the Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands and its new pediatric community hospital, before construction began on the 138,000-square foot store, with a series of community events, but the grandest of them all was a packed party Wednesday night at the loft-like store.

Fashion faces from The Woodlands and Houston celebrated the Seattle-based retailer’s opening with a blowout bash complete with red carpet, thoughtfully placed food stations with bites by A Fare Extraordinaire, open bars, models in fall favorites and, of course, shopping. All of the evening’s ticket sales were donated to the pediatric hospital, which is expected to open in 2017.

Who: The stylish set included members of the Nordstrom family, Blake Nordstrom, Erik Nordstrom, Pete Nordstrom and Jamie Nordstrom, plus Mark Wallace, Susan MacDonald, Judy and Glenn Smith, Carol and Phil GarnerPatty and Pete Cooley and Theresa and Lamar Roemer.
