Coldplay will not reschedule their Houston concert date, postponed last month due to Hurricane Harvey. The band announced the decision on their website, but gave no specific reason for the cancellation.

The concert was originally slated for August 25 at NRG Stadium. Harvey made landfall in Texas on that same night. As CultureMap previously reported, after the band officially decided to postpone the concert at NRG Stadium that night, Raed "Ray" Salti's pizza chain got a phone request to send over 100 pizzas to the Westin Galleria Hotel around for the band and its crew.

In the wake of the storm. Lead singer Chris Martin and his bandmates wrote a song called "Houston," performing it at their Miami concert a few days after the August 25 canceled NRG show.
