Even though Cher completed a farewell tour several years ago, you can't keep a good girl down. The 67-year-old singer announced on Monday that she will launch a 49-city North American tour beginning March 22 in Phoenix before heading to Texas.

The "Dressed to Kill" tour will stop at the Toyota Center on March 24 and Dallas' American Airlines Arena on March 26. The singer announced the tour following her performance on the Today show.

Cher's previous tour, later dubbed "The Never Can Say Goodbye Tour," stretched for three years (2002-2005) and a record-breaking concert 325 dates. The new tour announcement coincides with the release of her latest CD, Closer to the Truth, on Tuesday.

Tickets, priced at $25.50 -$156, will go on sale to the general public on Oct. 4. American Express card members can purchase tickets to the Houston and Dallas shows Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. through Oct. 3 at  10 p.m. All online ticket buyers will receive a free copy of the new CD.
