What could have been a minor car insurance hassle for conservative talk show host Michael Berry is now a scandal that continues to grow.

A day after KPRC broke the news that Berry is a suspect in a hit-and-run accident outside gay club T.C.'s Show Bar, the television station is now airing footage of Berry inside the bar on Jan. 31, the night in question, just before the accident occured.

The grainy surveillance footage is, sadly, far from the sordid scene one hopes to find during a drag show. Watch, as a casually dressed man — whom KPRC's Stephen Dean describes as Berry "with a five-o-clock shadow" — walks to a bar and orders a drink, and later walks down a hallway towards the bathroom. The footage that aired doesn't appear to show Berry speaking to anyone or doing anything besides walking around. Fascinating stuff.

And yet that video, coupled with even more witnesses that have come forward to say they saw Berry hit T.C. bouncer Tuderia Bennett's car with his SUV, is raising questions on why Berry hasn't been formally charged with Failure to Stop and Give Information, a misdemeanor.

According to Dean, the Houston Police Department's Hit and Run Office held a three-hour meeting on Thursday evening in which prosecutors demanded a full investigation, possibly including putting new officers on the case. It seems like a lot of hubbub about an accident that reportedly caused only $1,500 in damages.

Berry, on his radio show, said he would decline to talk to reporters "on their own turf" and that his network has requested that he not comment on the incident, although he did tell listeners that "there are two sides to every story."
