Galleria Tennis and Athletic Club

If you thought the Galleria was all about upscale shopping and dining, well, there’s a place to get fit after you’ve bought designer clothes one size too small and/or indulged in a series of gastronomic orgies. The Galleria Tennis & Athletic Club is a fitness center in an exclusive complex on the roof of the Galleria. This private club features nine tennis courts, a 7,500-square-foot fitness center, executive-grade locker rooms and two dining areas – a casual café and a more formal restaurant. The membership is limited to only 1,000, which means that reserving a court for the time that you want or getting on the fitness equipment that you wish won’t leave you with that frustrated feeling you get while standing in line at airport security. We love immediate gratification.
Longtime Houston fitness buffs remember when this space housed The University Club, but GTAC combines more benefits with a lower member roster to be sure a tennis court or cardio machine is always free.
