El Pueblito Patio

Once you step out the doors into the central courtyard patio, you're transported to a mini-paradise that seems far from Houston. The furniture is tropical, with palm trees aplenty and several semi-private cabanas that can be yours just by asking nicely at the hostess stand. Pueblito offers serviceable tacos, fajitas and other Tex-Mex standards but specializes in seafood and south-of-the-border chicken dishes. Everything here has a hint of island style, including the service, but sometimes you just want to escape with a cocktail that comes in a coconut.
