Latin Jazz Jam
Diaz Music Institute presents the Inaugural Latin Jazz Jam with special guest Ignacio Berroa.
Grammy Award-winner and international star Ignacio Berroa has been recognized as one of the greatest and most important drummers of all time. Jazz legend Dizzy Gillespie best defined Berroa as “the only Latin drummer in the world, in the history of American music that intimately knows both worlds; his native Afro-Cuban music as well as Jazz."
Latin Jazz Jam features the most innovative, influential, and cutting-edge Latin jazz artists in the world today. The showcase fills a cultural void in concert presentation by showcasing the musical heritage of Latin American countries and America's greatest musical gift to the world — jazz.
