The Houston Gilbert and Sullivan Society will present an audience favorite, The Pirates of Penzance. This comedic opera is the story of Frederic, a young man who has finished his apprenticeship to a band of noble pirates. When he is forced to choose between keeping his word and being with his newfound love Mabel, what will become of him? How will Mabel’s father, a Major-General, react when encountered by pirates?

Director Alistair Donkin returns as Major General Stanley, with the cast and orchestra under the baton of Dr. Brian Runnels.
