The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Houston will present a production of the famous work, The GondoliersThe Gondoliers is about the son of the King of Barataria who was arranged to marry the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Plaza-Toro from infancy. However, the son was taken away from his father shortly afterwards in order to protect him from his father's erratic behavior. A gondolier raised him alongside his own son to live normal lives. Neither of the men knew who was the real heir to the throne since the gondolier had kept it a secret from them that he took to his grave. Which man will have to leave his old life behind in order to fulfill the arranged marriage to the daughter of Plaza-Toro and become the new King of Barataria?
