Two organizations dedicated to alleviating poverty through social enterprise will partner for a sales event celebrating Fair Trade Summer Fest 2012. The Community Cloth will be selling their crafts handmade by refugee artisans here in Houston at Ten Thousand Villages. All, that means 100 percent of the proceeds from handmade crafts of the Cloth go directly to the refugee artisans. The Community Cloth is a microenterprise initiative empowering refugee women in Houston. The Cloth supports women who want to create and sell handmade, indigenous arts and crafts such as woven bags, knitted scarves, household items and more.
