Still in the 'hood: Poscól plans move to remodeled Montrose bungalow
Vinoteca Poscól, Marco Wiles's Italian spot where the bite-size dishes are designed to match the extensive wine list, tells Eater that the restaurant is moving from its current location in a Montrose strip center to a house at 608 Westheimer. Rather than renew the current lease at a presumably increased rate, Wiles has elected to remodel the 6,300 square-foot house next to Katz's.
The new location should be ready early next year.
There are two big benefits to the increased space. First, more room for customers (and correspondingly shorter waits for a table). Second, Poscól plans to expand its beer and wine offerings. Don't expect the menu to change, not that it needs to.
Another benefit of the move: The faint odor of dry cleaning chemicals will no longer waft into the dining room from the shop next door. Now, only the cheeses will be stinky.
