Houston's Hot Girl Megan Thee Stallion set to host Saturday Night Live
Houston’s very own hip-hop goddess and Hot Girl Megan Thee Stallion will get the opportunity to show off her comedy chops next month.
NBC announced that Megan will be the host and musical guest for the October 15 episode of Saturday Night Live. (Megan also voiced her enthusiasm on Twitter.)
This marks the second time this year a Houston diva has done double duty on the show — Lizzo was host and musical guest for a show last April and stole the show with hilarious numbers like this one.
SNL is just one of many TV projects the Stallion (who released her latest album, Traumazine, in August) has been working on this year. She recently made memorable appearances on P-Valley and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, where she twerked in an office while donning an elegant, double breasted pink suit.
Megan will also appear next year on the upcoming Peacock show The Best Man Wedding. She will also be making her big-screen debut next year in the A24 musical comedy F*cking Identical Twins.
No stranger to the small screen, she has appeared in HBO Max’s reality competition series Legendary and on NBC’s Good Girls and Sarah Cooper’s Netflix comedy special.
Last year, the native Houstonian and three-time Grammy-winner was featured in Time Magazine’s Most Influential People list and also landed on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit edition. She secured a deal with Popeye’s to produce “Hottie Sauce” (apropos).
Never one to rest on this whole music/pop culture superstardom thing, she graduated from Texas Southern University with a degree in health administration and also received her own day — May 2, 2022 — from the City of Houston.
