Culture Wars: Heights Walmart debate zooms into hypotheticals & a proper bedtime hour

Editor's note: In this regular series, CultureMap staffers, contributors and selected experts will audio debate issues in the city. First up — The Walmart in the Heights project.

There's been a rumble in the Heights since Walmart's decided to move into the area. CultureMap social media editor Fayza A. Elmostehi and columnist Caroline Gallay duke it out on the pros and cons of Walmart and Ainbender development plans. Anti-Walmart activists are worried about a possible increase in crime, loss of property values and the tax burden on the rest of the city.

Mayor Annise Parker held a public meeting with representatives of Walmart and Ainbender for concerned community members that turned more than spirited Wednesday night. But Fayza and Caroline can out battle anybody.
