A water wall & parking garage: Only in Houston

Editor's note: Houston is a city of cars, but parking garages get short shrift. We're out to change that by highlighting the prettiest - and ugliest - structures in town. Christopher Johnston wrote this paean to his favorite parking garage:

This is Texas Medical Center (TMC) Garage # 15. It's better known as the "water wall garage" or the "commons." I work in the Med Center and know of patients who have requested a room with a view of the water wall. There is a food court on the first floor and a restaurant on the sixth floor, but the rest is all cars — 500 spaces, according to the construction company that built it (Miner-Dederick). It always amazes me when I walk by that the TMC created this beautiful building rather than the typical parking garage.

This is definitely THE best parking garage in Houston.
