The 411: Last year, Absolut introduced four mega parties, Absolut Nights, in four major cities — New York, Berlin, Joannesburg and Sao Paolo. The bashes were such a success that Absolut distilled the excitement down to a "nightlife" bottle designed "to transform the bottle serve and put a little spark in your night," according to company's website. The bottle is multi-faceted with a light that shines through the bottom, adding dazzle to the night's action. The limited edition Absolut Spark bottle is available nationwide.
H-Town's version of Absolute's rock-the-night drew several thousand revelers who partied amid laser light play, danced to sounds by Gritsy and noshed on tamales from Berryhill. Vodka bottles glowed. Drink glasses glowed.
Dutch Small organized the mega event that featured guest DJs Chris Wadley (newly engaged to KTRK traffic reporter Katherine Whaley), Josiah Gabriel, Freepress publisher Omar Afra and Asli Omar of the Tontons.
