What: Katy Prairie Conservancy Prairie Bash.

Where: Private home in Memorial overlooking Buffalo Bayou.

The 411: The party was supposed to have been on the grounds of Clayton and Shel Erikson's home but with the stormy weather, the event moved inside to their beautiful, art-filled abode.

Debbie and Chris Patton chaired the event that honored the Garden Club of Houston for its many conservation efforts. Guests viewed a video on the club's efforts, dined on a buffet from A Fare Extraordinaire and socialized as guitarist Wayne Holtz provided background music. The evening brought in $200,000 for Conservancy projects.

Who: Suzanne Suter and Bill Snypes, Bob Honig, Wallace Ward, Ann and Tom Kelsey, Maryann and Gordon Young, Iris and David Poteet, Susan and Foster Carter, Elizabeth and Steve Gast, Terry Hershey and mayoral candidate Chris Bell.
