Vivian Wise coyly describes herself as "curator of the divine." It's a moniker we are inclined to accept considering her elegant fashion-forward approach to dressing for a Nina Ricci event in the couture salon at Neiman Marcus.
Via cellphone from her perch on the beach in Cancun, Vivian relayed that her leather dress by L'Agence was a purchase from Katia Boutique while her rockstud boots and the My Own Code handbag (personalized with her initials) were purchases from the Valentino boutique in the Galleria.
She accessorized with a plethora of gold bangle bracelets (she's been collecting them since she was 16) including several from Patricia Peckinpaugh. The love knot necklace from Kenneth Jay Lane was a birthday gift.
The "divine" reference emanates from the boutique, "Velvet Slipper Divine," that she is opening in January with a celebration party at the Corinthian. She's mum on what this incarnation of her retailing adventure, which began several years back as a high-end shoe store the Velvet Slipper, will be.
But knowing Vivian, we can assume it will be exceptional.
