Old world Italian charm meets contemporary ambiance in Bulgari's newly-redesigned boutique at The Galleria.

In light of the iconic designer's 130 anniversary celebration — which includes a blingy gala on Wednesday and a major exhibition at the Houston Museum of Natural Science that opens on Friday — the company decided it was time to wave arrivederci baby to the store's former look and feel.

To do so, officials imported craftsmen from The Boot who were familiar with the design of the flagship store in Rome to instill a similar flavor in the Bayou City. The final reveal shows off a stunning and sparkling oval Murano glass chandelier that anchors the space, subdued colors and accent plush walls that frame the clean and flowing layout.

Shoppers are welcomed by what should be a familiar design for fashionistas. That would the the Serpenti collection — available in white, yellow and rose gold — made famous when Elizabeth Taylor wore the impressive coiling timepiece during the filming of Cleopatra.

For this edition of the "Up To Speed" video series sponsored by Cadillac, host Nicole Hickl goes on a fantasy shopping spree and checks out Bulgari's new digs.
