Since shopping and dining top Houstonians list of favorite things to do, it just makes sense for the first city-wide Shop With Heart Card benefiting the American Heart Association fundraiser to include the opportunity to do both. The launch of the Shop With Heart Card kicks off Friday and runs through Sunday, May 4, offering discounts and special dining deals at stores and restaurants from the Galleria area to Clear Lake.
Stores such as Abejas Boutique, Kendra Scott, BB1 Classic, Tootsies and Cakewalk Style Shop are offering 20 per cent off all regular-priced purchases.
During the two-week promotion, restaurants ranging from Brio and Benjy’s on Washington to Palm Restaurant and Pinkberry are serving up one complimentary appetizer or one complimentary dessert with the purchase of an entree.
The Shop With Heart card is $40 and is available for purchase at all participating stores, restaurants and on the Shop With Heart Card website. All of the card sale proceeds benefits the American Heart Association.
If shopping and dining rank high on your to-do list, then it’s likely party-hopping for a good cause does too. Wednesday, Settlement Goods & Design hosts an event from 6 to 8 p.m., while the Kendra Scott store in Rice Village is a Shop With Heart hotspot, also from 6 to 8 p.m.
The parties continue Thursday at Events from 5:30 to 8 p.m. giving card buyers a head start on springtime shopping, over at Z Gallerie in CityCentre from 4 to 6 p.m. Designer David Peck rounds up the celebrations Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at his Kirby Drive studio.
CultureMap is teaming up with the American Heart Association, giving social media savvy shoppers an opportunity to win prizes from A Bientot, More Than You Can Imagine, Kuhl-Linscomb Cakewalk Style Shop, Sam and Lilli, and ShopWillow.com.
