Since 2000, Pantone has revealed its “color of the year,” which heavily impacts the way brands sell their own products, designers adding it to their seasonal collections, and how consumers can include it in all aspects of life from — from wardrobe to the home.

This year's color is Classic Blue. We scoured Houston offerings to find ways that locals can ease into the new decade, with 20 ways to add a touch of Classic Blue.

Biscuit Home
“Born out of the love for the traditions of southern hospitality,” the heirloom luxury bedding brand’s Dorothy Blue collection will instantly give you a calm feeling. Shop the print in four various sized shams, sheet sets, and duvets.

Christina Greene
If you describe your style as understated elegance, shop Christina Greene’s mini hoop earrings in Lapis, now on sale. For an easy everyday look, stack on the Lapis bangle set.

cuteheads
The “cute, girly, one-of-a-kind keepsake quality clothing label for girls” offers various options for your little one from a top seller and favorite of owner Esther Freedman. Look for items such as the Brie Dress, a royal blue stretch velvet featuring a striped chambray peter pan collar and the Fancy Multicolor Pom Pom Dress.

David Peck
Traveling in the new year? Look to the Cienega Dress from the local custom clothier and ready-to-wear designer. It doesn’t wrinkle, features a pleated detail at the waist, and offers long sleeves for all your business class needs.

Inclán Studio
The contemporary womenswear label can be worn to important meetings to dinner and everything in between. Shop The Stevie Top, a loose-fitting, sleeveless collared V-neck blouse featuring a pleated hem. The side slits allow you to move freely from your desk to drinks.

Jill Reno Collection
Turn to dazzling jewelry that you can buy now and wear forever. Refresh your collection with oversized drop earrings featuring double inverted triangles, diamonds, and a blue gemstone from Jill Reno Collection.

Katie Lynn Beauty
Work the lower lash line with a swatch of Katie Lynn’s blue suede eyeliner or for a softer, elegant look. Or, create a smokey cat eye using the makeup artists’ eyeshadow in Backdrop, a velvety navy blue hue with a pearl finish, on your upper lid. If you dare, trace both the upper lid and lower lashline with the classic hue.

Manready Mercantile
Located in Houston’s Historic Heights, the general store’s long sleeve Outdoorsman Shirt features expandable pockets and custom fisheye horn buttons.

Nope Fiend Vintage
The luxury vintage dealer offers a bevy of classic blue from an '80s lace-trimmed floor-length nightgown, to a '90s iridescent bodycon, and buttery soft suede moto jacket.

Paloma & Co.
Bring a touch of France into your home with one — or two — 19th-century chairs, featuring a classic giltwood frame and a beautiful velvet. For another touch of France to your decor, add a few dishwasher safe, hand-blown tumblers which Paloma found at her favorite Italian restaurant in Paris.

Susana Vega
The Venezuelan-born jewelry designer has perfected the art of shapes with her hand-beaded earrings, which can be dressed up or down.

Rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and anti-inflammatory properties, Switch2Pure’s unscented probiotic deodorant may not be blue, but its packaging will not only moisturize your underarms and prevent excess oil but also look good on your bathroom counter.
