There's yet another benefit of not growing up in the YouTube generation.
I think we all remember Old Yeller, the moment when Bambi's mother died and (for me) when Pete's dragon had to leave and find another orphan who needed him. (There' just something about orphans and non-imaginary dragons, you know?)
But while the tearjerker children's movie is a right of passage, at least we had the benefit of our response not being caught on film and shared with the world.
But Seth and Aaron, two kids from Houston, weren't as lucky this week. Their distraught and hysterical reactions to the sad ending of The Odd Life of Timothy Green (um, spoiler alert) was caught on camera by their parents and has over a million views on YouTube after being featured on BuzzFeed, Gawker and Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Which just goes to prove my theory that everyone loves watching kids cry. Kimmel has even made a cottage industry out of it.
Check out his take below, which includes a preview of the boys in 40 years, when they grow up to be (what!) Dallas Cowboys fans.
