Just when you thought the Houston steak house roster was complete, III Forks comes along and shows us what we didn't know we were missing. The ambience inside the Houston Pavilions is of a distinctly Southern sensibility with a touch of French panache, full of mahogany, marble and 20-foot ceilings, antique mirrors, and stunning brass-bead chandeliers. Houston's III Forks is the first location (there are others in Dallas, Austin, Boca Raton and Palm Beach Gardens) that will serve lunch, with an expanded menu of sandwiches and salads in addition to prime beef cuts, seafood and indulgent sides and desserts like six-cheese potatoes and Texas Pecan Cake.
Only one-half of one percent of all beef processed in the United States meets III Forks stringent standards.
