The Lowdown

For the downtown crowd, 101 Reserve is a great place to kick start an evening or cap it off. Whiskey is the specialty at this little bar close to Discovery Green, Toyota Center and House of Blues. But there are sooooo many choices -- more than 125 whiskeys, bourbons and scotch varietals. For help ask the knowledgeable bartenders. An upstairs area overlooks the bar, and you can engage in all your voyeuristic tendencies. But be forewarned, it might be hard to revel in your solitude. This is friendly bar. Come a few times and everyone will know your name.
