Fleming's-River Oaks

Satan himself would burst into flames in the insanely hot temperatures in which the steaks at Fleming’s are seared to seal in all of the natural juices. This is USDA prime, corn-fed beef which is cut onsite and served with delicious sidekicks like the Fleming’s potatoes with cream, jalapeños and cheddar cheese and the zesty homemade onion rings imbued with smoked jalapeños aioli. The crowd is often from around the area (the restaurant is located near some of the most affluent neighborhoods in Houston) but no need to wear your Prada to slide into one of the dark leather booths and order a petite 8-ounce filet mignon or an enormous 40-ounce porterhouse for two. And with 100 different wines offered by the glass, coupled with a strong wine list by the bottle, you’re good to go in the vino department. The bar is a popular haunt with the executive set for after-work drinks and is buzzing most weeknights.
In the bar, we love the new 5-6-7 deal... 5 martinis, wines and full-size entrees are $6 each until 7pm every day.
