Casa Ramirez Imports

A treasure trove of Latino art and artifacts

Gallery/store owner Macario Ramirez does not dial it down when it comes to his exhibitions and his inventory.  He’s a fighter for human rights and a force that advocates the creative talents and visions of Latino artists from all over the country.  As an activist he’s taken on police issues, health care, hate crimes, and immigration as well as hip art galleries in town that display what he considers profane distortions of Mexican religious art. This store/gallery represents and celebrates Latino culture with passion and authenticity.  Inside there’s an array of upscale Mexican imports like pottery, old photographs and baskets for sale. Ramirez is also an educator in Mexican cultural traditions, especially Day of the Dead ofrendas, and is a wealth of information. To keep it interesting, exhibits in this little store regularly rotate, so check back often for the latest display of Mexican art and artifacts.

Eight times a year Macario Ramirez introduces educational exhibits that relate to a cultural tradition.
