House of Blues Houston
We’ve always believed that size matters and this 47,000-square-foot party space gives you endless options to have a blast and get into a little trouble. Inside the plush Foundation Room is a maze of passageways and nooks all upholstered in beaded fabric for a harem-chic effect, where puffs of Nag Chamba float throughout the darkened and fabulously furnished VIP areas. There are fire-painted hallways that lead you on to bigger and better spaces where you can catch concerts by cool headliners like Jay Z, Willie Nelson, and The Black Crows. There is also a cushy upstairs restaurant if you don’t feel like mingling downstairs with the masses in the main dining hall. Known as Crossroads, it features a mix of American and international dishes including shrimp and grits, bacon-wrapped meatloaf and a variety of burgers.
Everywhere you look there are stages and cool, eclectic crowds. This is not any ordinary restaurant or musical venue—you can just step in for a drink or purchase a $5,000 membership to the Foundation Room and become a regular. Make sure to make friends with Mr. Pat Moss, as he holds the key to the back rooms.
Owners invested in a really good sound system, which is music to our ears.
