Digital Poetry Workshop: "Muse and the Fuse"

Add to Other Calendars (iCal file format)In honor of St. Valentine, participants in this hands-on multimedia workshop will marry text and film, writing and animating poems about love and life — or maybe shoehorns and refrigerators. With the help of Sara Cooper and Camilo Gonzalez we will draw from the poetic tradition of the mash-up, combining language borrowed from love songs, manuals, websites and other unexpected texts to create the kind of chemistry that only mismatched pairs yield.
Just bring your emotions and Aurora Picture Show will take care of the rest. By the end of the class you will have a poetic film to share with your loved ones. Wine and chocolates will be provided to get you in the mood.
