11th Annual Run for the Rose benefiting Brain Cancer Research
The Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation's 11th Annual Run for the Rose 5K and 1K Family Run/Walk continues the legacy of Dr. Marnie Rose, who put a human face to brain cancer and offered strength and hope to those suffering from the disease she was also battling. Since 2003, the event has raised more than $3 million to support programs at the MD Anderson Cancer Center and Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital.
The race starts outside the Coca-Cola entrance of Reliant Stadium and winds around Reliant Park before participants reach the finish line in Reliant Center. Other activities include a post-race reception with live entertainment, food vendors, children's activities and an awards ceremony.
