A hot French designer has the ladies swooning at Angels of Hope lunch
The ladies and a few gents turned out 600 strong, a sellout, at the Westin Galleria Hotel for the annual Friends of Child Advocates "Angels of Hope" holiday luncheon and raised more than $400,000, even before raffle ticket sales were counted.
Applause, applause for luncheon chairs Lynda Lighthouse Transier, Joy Posoli and Nancy Thorington.
It was a midday happening of thoughtful reflection thanks to guest speaker Aundre Dean's story of foster care and finally adoption; of giddy delight with the Neiman Marcus presentation of Roland Mouret's resort collection (the French designer in the house) and of gratitude as the luncheon honored Hildegarde Ballard for her widespread good works including 17 years of volunteering with Child Advocates.
Among the Friends supporters were raffle chairs Phyllis Williams and Rosemary Schatzman, Neiman Marcus GM Bob Devlin, and a host of fashionable ladies that included Lucinda Loya, Denise Monteleone, Carol Barnhart, Franelle Rogers, Joann Crassas, Alice Burguieres, Janice McNair, Cyndy Garza Roberts, Julie Brown, Stephanie Perkins, Alicia Smith, Stephanie Cockrell and Noylan Pulaski.
