Flirty Fun
A country music star, a hot chef and fried chicken fuel a flirt-filled party at Tootsies
Those Camp for All supporters know how to have a good time. Just check out the frolic at Tootsies the other night when country singer Cooper Wade performed, chef Bruce Molzanserved "chicken-fried chicken" and cupcakes were on the dessert table. Add in retail therapy presented not only by the store's must-have inventory, but also by the sexy jewelry pieces offered by equally-sexy Vincent Peach.
The Nashville based jewelry designer had the ladies swooning as he showed his fetching pearl and leather designs. And Wade had the room swaying with tunes including his popular "Don't Flirt With a Texas Man." At the same time, Citizens for Humanity showcased its jeans collection. Something for everyone on this night.
The fundraiser, chaired by Denise Bush Bahr and Jan Carson, doubled as a kickoff for Camp for All's "Chicken Fried Chicken" gala in February. On hand were gala chairs Julie and Dr. David Brown, who expect a lively turnout at the Hilton Americas-Houston.
During the brief program, Camp for All president and CEO Pat Sorrells recognized Lisa O'Leary and Linn Energy for years of dedication to the organization. They were applauded by guests including Peppi Lausen, Pat and Merv Schaefer, Liz Rigney, Cathy Cagle, Kari Parsons, Karen and Bob Laflen, Jean Radelat, Joann and Bill Crassas and Laurie Bruce-Maddox and party host Mickey Rosmarin.
