Top Restaurant Bars
Two Houston spots make Top 100 Hottest Restaurant Bars in America list — and they might surprise you
In Houston's fast-paced, high-stakes food world, the combination of great food with great drinks drinks has become more a necessity than a luxury. But who does it best?
OpenTable recently revealed the winners for the Top 100 Hottest Restaurant Bars in America, as decided by verified reviews by OpenTable diners of more than 15,000 restaurants nationwide.
Based on those opinionated eaters, the top restaurant bars in Houston belong to Del Frisco's Grille in West Ave, where "there are more than 500 bottles on the wine list," and Washington Avenue's TQLA Houston, where "master mixologists create some of the finest infusions, cocktails and martinis in the city."
But there are so many homegrown spots with impressive offerings — think Oxheart's unexpected wine list, the cocktail programs at spots like The Pass & Provisions and Goro & Gun, even the wall of beer taps at Moon Tower Inn on the East End. Where else would you send foodies who like to drink?
Dallas-area winners include another Del Frisco's Grille, The Cedars Social, a spot known for high-quality cocktails made with top-of-the-line ingredients, and Henry's Tavern in Plano.
