Where To Shop Now
Where to shop in Houston right now: 5 boutiques and pop-ups springing with style
It’s official: The time to update closets and homes is now. A new season means fresh styles and the opportunity to go beyond your usual favorite spots to explore the markets dotting the April event calendar. Here's where to shop in Houston right now:
Indochino
Guys need new duds, too, and Indochino at The Galleria on Level One (next to Topshop) is at the ready, delivering customized suiting options in four weeks to gents who want to step out of the usual. Customers choose a style and then have the option to customize the suit, jacket, dress shirts, and other elements — just the way they want. The process can be done in-store or online.
Maison de Mode
Maison de Mode brings its selection of luxury, ethically made products to The Galleria from April 11-May 15. Shop brands like DUN, Prabal Gurung, TOME, Amour Vert, Khokho, Behno, and Bottletop during the brick-and-mortar stint. The apparel, accessories, and footwear are a mix of recycled, organic, cruelty-free, and made in the U.S. products. The Maison de Mode boutique is on Level Two of The Galleria next to Saks Fifth Avenue.
Atrium Friends and Family Sale
Atrium boutique owner Luvi Wheelock is treating her BFFs to a 25 percent off sale on everything in her River Oaks Shopping Center store, with the exception of Misela handbags. Isolda Ready-To-Wear, Tara Jarmon, Black Halo, Mola Sasa Handbags, and Paula Mendoza Jewelry are among the sale goodies. The Friends & Family event ends Thursday, April 12.
Flea Style
Texas makers, crafters, collectors, and artisans are in the spotlight Saturday, April 21 during Flea Style at Silver Street Studios. The pop-up market features more than 100 vendors plus food trucks, a bar, free crafts, DJ spins, and photo wall. Dive into the Morocco-themed market and find handmade, vintage, and one-of-a-kind goods, plus if you’re an especially motivated shopper, the first 100 shoppers receive a complimentary tote bag. Tickets can be purchased in advance.
Dash Market
Technically, the DASH market is named for Design, Art, Style, and Home, but we tend to think of it more as an encouragement to, you know, quickly get to the home decor market at Silver Street Studios April 26-29. DASH gets underway Thursday, April 26, with the first ever DASH preview party which give shoppers first dibs access to more than 80 vendors, while also benefiting Aspire Accessories, a local organization that teaches young adults with autism and similar special needs transferable business skills. Shoppers are invited to a “Drink It All In” happy hour on Friday, April 27, from 5-7 pm, where they can enjoy half-priced price entry plus a complimentary glass of wine while perusing the offerings. Deal hunters will find discounted ticket prices during Stroll & Shop Sunday Funday.
