Nipplegate flashbacks?
Houston Rodeo gets nasty: The mega rock acts among the rodeo's final lineup are...
Janet Jackson brings her star power to RodeoHouston.
KISS your Houston Rodeo stereotypes goodbye.
It's still all about the country music, though — Tim McGraw is performing(again) March 7.- Janet Jackson is the most main-stream performer, slated for Black Heritage Day.
KISS is coming to the Houston Rodeo. So's Janet Jackson — Miss Jackson, if you're nasty. (For those who remember Nipplegate, and how could you not, the 2011 Rodeo brings Jackson back to the site of her infamous "wardrobe malfunction" at the 2004 Super Bowl.)
But have no fear, those decidely un-country entertainers join Kid Rock (a bit of a crossover star) and several staple groups of the genre including Clay Walker and Tim McGraw.
The remaining entertainment line-up for the 2011 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo was announced this morning and the concerts are as follows:
Clay Walker (March 1), Janet Jackson (March 4), Billy Currington (March 5), Tim McGraw (March 1), Keith Urban (March 8), Rascal Flatts (March 10), Lady Antebellum (March 11) Gary Allan (March 12), La Arrolladora Banda Limon and La Leyenda (March 13), Kid Rock (March 14), KISS (March 15), Alan Jackson (March 18), Jason Aldean (March 20).
Other entertainers confirmed previously are Zac Brown Band (March 17), Sugarland (March 3), Brad Paisley (March 19) and Selena Gomez (March 6), as well as Value Days entertainers Trace Adkins (March 2), Martina McBride (March 9) and Miranda Lambert (March 16).
Season tickets and mini-season tickets, with nine performances in each option, are available on the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo website, by phone at 832-667-1080, or in person on the second floor of Reliant Center Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Individual tickets will go on sale Jan. 15; the rodeo runs March 1 - 20.
