Bus hit Texas student just wants to move on from his amazing viral video fame:Still baffled & unhurt
Want to know what still has our heads spinning? The tale of Nick Engmann, an 18-year-old electrical engineering student at the University of Texas who got smacked by a Capital Metro bus just days before his finals.
Not only did he live to tell about the incident — he also took his exams the next week, scoring all A's and one B.
Engmann, who was participating in a "Foam Sword Friday" event on the Drag, attempted to cross the street wearing a Barack Obama mask and wielding a floppy sword when an oncoming bus ran a red light and sent him careening into Guadalupe Street.
Engmann admitted, "It was a little bit more stressful that I had to take [finals] right after I got hit by a moving vehicle."
He stood up quickly as other students rushed over, went to the hospital and left after just two hours with only a sling.
In an interview with Good Morning America Engmann admitted, "It was a little bit more stressful that I had to take [finals] right after I got hit by a moving vehicle."
Meanwhile, footage of the hit went viral: Wolfie Kuntz, a UT student who was walking past the scene as the incident occurred, said that other students were watching the videos at a campus-area bar just 15 minutes later. Daniel Tosh predictably picked it up for a Tosh.0 video breakdown. Engmann's name and his folly have been plastered everywhere since that fateful May 4 afternoon.
During the GMA segment, Engmann appeared eager to get past the whole thing. Will the poor guy ever live it down?
