Following the departure of GM Hans Schmitt to the Alden, the Hotel Derek announced they had selected a new General Manager. Michael Broadhurst will join the Galleria-area hotel from his position as complex manager for the Westin Reston Heights and Sheraton Reston Hotels in Reston, Va. — like Hotel Derek, a property of Crestline Hotels & Resorts.
