Bush Leaves Hospital
On eve of 69th wedding anniversary, Barbara Bush is discharged from hospital
Looks like Barbara Bush will be spending her wedding anniversary at home.
After spending six days at Houston Methodist Hospital for treatment of pneumonia, the former first lady was discharged Saturday and returned to her Post Oak-area residence.
"I cannot thank the doctors and nurses at Houston Methodist enough for making sure I got the best treatment and got back to George and our dogs as quickly as possible," Bush said in a statement released by spokesman Jim McGrath.
McGrath also tweeted a photo of Bush's two dogs eagerly awaiting her arrival.
