The CultureMap Holiday Pop-up Shop returns December 13 to Silver Street Studios, featuring the best gifts offered by some of our favorite local retailers and brands. But you didn’t think it would be all jewelry, knickknacks, and stocking stuffers, did you?
There has to be something good to eat — to devour onsite and to take away for someone else to savor.
The second annual event will boast bourbon and bubbles, gratis, in the Lexus Lounge, and free hot chocolate courtesy of Bounce Energy.
Sure to make your holiday shopping excursion a tasty one, there will also be plenty eats and drinks for sale from the following vendors:
Revival Market. The Heights-area gem will be on-hand doling out snacks from salami sticks to beef jerky, and sandwiches (served with your choice of chips or potato salad), including smoked turkey breast, roast beef and a BLT.
Common Bond. The Montrose-area bakery and café will be selling sweet treats (think: oatmeal cream pies and gingerbread men), and standout signature items like a can’t-miss chocolate chip cookie and the addictive Kugelhopf, a sugar-dusted brioche cake soaked in an orange blossom syrup and spiked with brandy-infused raisins. Wash it all down with a hot chocolate or non-alcoholic wassail.
Good Dog Houston. Hit up the popular food truck for more than 10 styles of gourmet dogs piled high with housemade condiments and creative toppings. We recommend the Picnic (topped with beef and chorizo chili, Short Bus mustard, potato salad, a sprinkling of parsley and a dill pickle slice).
Macaron By Patisse. Sweeten things up with a dainty French confection in whimsical flavors, like blueberry vanilla bean and tiramisu, from the chic Houston boutique with three locales.
Briggs True. Stock up on Briggs’ True Texas sauces, from jalapeno to bacon bourbon barbecue, and special seasonings while you sample homemade chili made with the locally made goods.
PUCS Pop Up Coffee Shop. Owned and operated by husband and wife team Jim and Leslee Cross, this mobile coffee shop on wheels will serve up freshly roasted coffee and espresso drinks, plus lemonade and tea. You can also expect a small list of fare along the lines of kolaches and scones.
SlimRitas. Take a boozy sip on the low cal side with a refreshing margarita made with the Houston-based company’s 100-calorie margarita cocktail mix.
