Fab fashionistas and beauty influencers wow Houston Style Summit crowd
What: Create & Cultivate's third-annual Style Summit
Where: The Saks Fifth Avenue wing at The Galleria
The scoop: Create & Cultivate, in collaboration with Simon Malls, recently hosted their third-annual Style Summit. More than 300 attendees gathered at The Galleria to enjoy a full day of panels, beauty treatments from Bobbi Brown, trend presentations, and a keynote conversation with Elizabeth Chambers Hammer. The event kicked off with a happy hour at Coach in The Galleria, featuring bubbles and light bites. The following day's main event included sessions on fashion blogging, beauty tips, a Trend Talk, and the keynote chat with Hammer, who is the founder of Bird Bakery — and wife of actor Armie Hammer.
Elizabeth Chambers Hammer motivated the crowd with a lively pep talk. “You have to work your ass off and be organized and clear about where you’re going,” she said. “You can’t get somewhere if you don’t know where you’re going.” The Instagram star also encouraged the audience to give back at every level of their success: “When you have a for-profit company, there has to be some responsibility to have a non-profit element.” The bakery owner also shared some love for our dining culture: “What I love about Texas is the passion people have for food.”
