With young, good-looking crowds, a lively bar scene and an oh-so-chic warehouse, Village fave Benjy's second outpost on trendy Washington is one of the city's current hot spots. Executive chef Mike Potowski blends the traditional Benjy's menu of sophisticated Southern dishes with his own signature Asian flavors—here, the buffalo hangar steak comes with bone-marrow risotto and the crunchy chicken is coated in a delicious combination of crushed pecans and pistachios. The place is usually packed and Sunday brunch in particular almost always means you’ll have to sip one of Benjy’s zesty Bloody Marys while you wait for a table. Ah, the sacrifices one must make!
An open concept and plenty of hard surfaces means on a busy night, this is no place to try and grab a quiet dinner.
