Something of a Houston institution, this club is seared into most young adult memories due to all-ages nights and the dance club that’s 18 and up. Seedy and grungy, this spot is known to attract a rowdy crowd of artsy types who enjoy uninhibited fun and performance-art-type live music acts who attempt to shock as much as they entertain. Known to have hosted rather famous acts that hadn’t yet broken into the scene, Numbers is a great place to go and catch the next big thing. Drinks are always cold and cheap, and the music is live and loud.
The last Sunday of every month from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., local artists show off their best original art work at the Montrose Art Market hosted at this bar. It might be the only time you stop in to Numbers when the sun is up.
