Stellar evening
Private limos, a red carpet and stunning Rolex watches: New jewelry store treats its VIPs like gold
When Thomas Markle opened his namesake jewelry emporium at Gateway Memorial City last week, he made sure that the celebration was one that would be talked about for weeks to come.
He sent private limos to the homes of each of his VIP guests and whisked them to the emporium where they walked the red carpet and were greeted with special Sky-Dweller cocktails (blue champagne) named for Rolex's Sky-Dweller watch.
All six models in the new collection of the chic Sky-Dweller line, priced in the $30,000 to $40,000 range, were on display, a first for Texas. (The Sky-Dweller collection is on the move. The week before Markle's party, the most recent collection of these luxury timepieces was centerpiece of a Rolex party held in conjunction with Art Basel Miami.)
Stellar Sweets supplied the chocolate truffles dusted with gold. What else for a luxury jewelry party?
For guests in the market for a stunning watch, numerous other Rolex models were showcased in Thomas Markle Jewelers' 700 square-foot Rolex boutique, which is nestled within the 3,600 square foot store.
Epicurean Delight provided an array of party foods including crab cakes, lobster canapes and poached oysters. Stellar Sweets supplied the chocolate truffles dusted with gold. What else for a luxury jewelry party?
The VIP guests included MetroNational senior veep Jason Johnson and wife Stacy, MetroNational President and COO Loc McNew, Strike USA exec Kacey Smart with wife Catina, MetroNational director of marketing Steve Nisenson, New World Marketing CEO Robert Cauthen and wife Elvira, Texas Diesel Maintenance president Dwayne Marcantel and wife Tracey and more.
