Stylish H-Town crowd turns out to support children of Nicaragua at 'Night for Niños' gala

The scoop: Stylish Houston guests filled the Hobby Center to help raise funds for Fabretto Children’s Foundation, an international nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower underserved children and their families in Nicaragua.
Upon arrival, attendees were greeted by flamenco dancers while enjoying a multi-course dinner presented by Artista restaurant. The keynote speech by Wilber, a Fabretto student, moved many in the audience with tales of hardship, including waking up at 3 am to work on a farm, and then walking miles to school to get an education so that he could support his family.
Event chairs Luvi and Carlos Wheelock were thrilled that the gala raised $130,000 to support the mission of Fabretto Children’s Foundation.
